✨ What is VBS at Hope?
Hope Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) Summer Camp is a six-day celebration of faith, friendship, and fun!
Our camp runs Monday to Friday, July 7–11, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM with supervised lunch and optional afternoon programming. The week wraps up with a special family day on Sunday, July 13, including VBS activities and a 10:00 AM church service featuring our campers.
Campers can:
Join just the morning VBS (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
Or stay for the full day (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM) with one of our exciting afternoon camps!

Families with a parent, grandparent, or teen sibling (age 12+) volunteering during morning VBS get:

“God So Loves the World” takes children on a Christ-centered adventure across continents—from the Outback to the True North—learning to trust Jesus in a wild world.
- For ages 4–11 | Cost: $30

🎨 ARTS Afternoon Camp: Fluff & Fiber with Ms. Rebekah
Needle Felting & Punch Needle Arts
Let your child’s imagination run wild with wool! Campers (ages 5–13) will:
- Sculpt adorable felted animals
- Create bold, textured designs
- Learn both needle felting and punch needle art
No experience needed—just creativity and curiosity!
🕐 1:00 – 4:00 PM | 💲 $200 per child
🎁 Campers go home with handmade fiber art creations!
🏕 SPORTS Afternoon Camp: Survivor Challenge with Mr. Mayer
Theme: Outwit, Outplay, Outlast!
This action-packed camp brings out the strategist, teammate, and competitor in every child (ages 5–12). Kids will:
- Tackle daily challenges
- Solve puzzles
- Compete in team games and earn rewards
All the fun of Survivor—without eliminations!

Hope Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) Summer Camp (July 2025) is a fun-filled six-day camp that runs Monday through Friday from July 7th to 11th, plus the morning of Sunday, July 13th. The camp has a morning VBS from 8:30 am till 12:30 pm on weekdays, with supervision at lunch, and then has two choices for VBS fun in the afternoons until 4:00 pm. Participants may go home at 12:30 pm or participate all day from 8:30 am till 4:00 pm weekdays with afternoon camp. Sunday morning will be a special day for the entire family and a continuation of VBS activities from 8:30 am till lunchtime, including our 10:00 am church service.
Starting now, families may get guaranteed registration (and a VBS camp discount for each child) for children whose parent, grandparent, or teenage sibling (aged 12+) is willing to volunteer during morning VBS. (Registration for non-volunteering families will start on May 5th online at 3:00 pm.)
MORNING: VBS
The morning VBS theme is “God So Loves the World: from Epic Australia to the True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World.” VBS registration costs $30 per child for participants aged 4-11 years old, and is free for volunteer junior leaders aged 12 and older. Volunteering high schoolers needing volunteer hours for Grade 12 graduation requirements will receive a reference letter.
ARTS Afternoon Camp
After morning VBS weekdays and Sunday morning: Fluff & Fiber: Needle Felting & Punch Needle Arts Camp! with Ms. Rebekah. Get ready for a week full of texture, colour, and creativity! At our Fluff & Fiber Arts Camp, VBS Campers will dive into the magical worlds of needle felting and punch needle art—two fun & hands-on ways to turn fluffy wool into fantastic creations. Campers will learn how to sculpt with wool to make adorable, felted animals and explore punch needle techniques to create bold, textured designs they can hang or use. No experience is needed, just imagination and a love for making things! With step-by-step guidance, lots of fiber fun, & a focus on creative expression, kids will take home unique handmade projects. Perfect for ages 5-13. Arts Camp is $200. You don’t want to miss it!
SPORTS Afternoon Camp
Afternoons after morning VBS: Survivor Challenge Camp with Mr. Mayer, with the theme: Outwit, Outplay, Outlast! Join us for an action-packed adventure where kids aged 5-12 will test their skills in teamwork, strategy, and physical challenges. Our Survivor Challenge Camp invites campers to compete in fun, engaging activities that encourage problem-solving, creativity, and friendly competition. Each day will feature exciting challenges, Tribal Council conversations, and opportunities to earn rewards—without eliminations! This unforgettable Sports afternoons experience runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on VBS weekdays, and costs $200 per child. VBS Kids can outwit, outplay, and outlast to become the ultimate camp survivors!
