The School Board of Hope Lutheran Christian School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Susan Eisner as Principal of the elementary school (Kindergarten to Grade 7), effective July 1, 2014. Susan has felt God’s call to her for this new chapter in her life. It is truly a blessing to have a woman with Susan’s outstanding talents to lead our school.
After graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Education with Distinction in 1993, Susan began working as a Teacher-on-Call in the Greater Victoria school district. She was hired as a Teacher and Developer by Redeemer Lutheran Church, Langford, BC, in May 1998 to work on the feasibility of opening a Lutheran school. In September 1998, God led Susan to teach at First Lutheran Christian School in Kelowna before moving to the Lower Mainland in 2002 to begin teaching at Hope Lutheran Christian School. She humbly received the Excellence in Lutheran Education award in 2010 and has been honoured to serve as the President of the Lutheran Teacher’s Association for the past three years. Susan and Mike, her husband of 25 years, are blessed to be the parents of three grown sons who all had the privilege of attending Lutheran schools.
As Susan transitions into her new role at Hope Lutheran, Mr. Mike Schiemann has graciously agreed to mentor and assist her over the summer before he transitions into his new role as Principal of Forest Hills Lutheran School in Cornelius, Oregon. We ask that you pray for God’s guidance to Susan and support her in the months and years ahead, as she assumes her new responsibilities.
