2019/2020 Re – Enrollment Closes

The Parent Volunteer Hours class google docs have now been locked.  The hours have been reviewed and cheques will be cashed this week. Families who will receive a refund cheque for completing partial hours can expect to receive them in the next two weeks.  Classroom liaisons will be emailing parents a new google doc to record volunteer hours for Term 2 shortly. Thank you for volunteering and supporting our school!

Two parent volunteers are needed to assist The Well students to clean up after they serve hot lunch on various Fridays (dates listed on the sign up).  Please arrive at noon in the kitchen by the gym. Sign in at the office upon arrival. This can be combined with lunch time supervision.

Thank you so much to the parents who helped to host and provided baking and other items for the Open House on Thursday, January 31 at the Port Coquitlam Campus.

Fun Food is on Friday, February 8.  Parents from all grades are welcome to participate in bringing baked goods.  Sign up at the link below and earn volunteer hours.

Extreme Weather Closures

Please note the following important information regarding Hope Lutheran Christian School closures due to extreme weather:

  1. The decision to close the School due to extreme weather will be made by 7:00 am, on the day of the closure, so families can make alternate arrangements.
  2. The announcement will be posted as quickly as possible on our Facebook page and our school website. Do not phone the school, as staff will not be available.
  3. The decision will be made taking into consideration the safety of our families and staff, and the School’s ability to operate normally, and will be based on the best information available at the time.
  4. Any extreme weather closures will automatically apply to both campuses, and Schola Bohemia – Before and After School Care.
  5. Hope Lutheran’s extreme weather closures may not be the same as the local School Districts’ closures.
  6. Winter weather can change quickly, therefore, when the School remains open, all decisions regarding travel to and from the School are the responsibility of each family.
