Parent Volunteer Hours

REMINDER TO ALL PARENTS:  Please remember to record your Parent Volunteer Hours as you complete them on your youngest child’s spreadsheet.  Term 1 ends on January 31st and after that date, the sheets will be closed. Please ensure you record any eligible hours prior to January 31st.

If you are short on hours, there are many opportunities, evenings included,  to help with the Bethlehem Walk production. Please refer to the links provided.  More opportunities will be posted shortly.

Volunteer Opportunities – 2019/2020 School Year

Bethlehem Walk Fundraising:  Our Bethlehem Walk Christmas production is almost entirely funded by Hope Lutheran Church and School, with generous volunteer support from our church membership and school parent community.  In an effort to offset production costs, a bake sale will take place starting at 2:15 at the PoCo Campus on Friday, December 6thCome by on your way to the middle school to get the best selection!  This is a great way for you to purchase a plate of assorted Christmas baking for holiday celebrations.  For those of you missing Fun Food, here’s your opportunity to enjoy some treats! Your time and your baked goods count towards volunteer hours.

Also, The Well members will be selling their own baked treats to students at lunchtime – $1/piece.

To contribute items or to help facilitate the PoCo sale, please sign up at the following link:  Bethlehem Walk Bake Sale  Spaces still available for baking contributions – 1 hour for each dozen; if homemade, claim time to bake too.

The Well:  Our food services club, The Well, is in need of one parent a week to assist in the clean up each Friday after the meal service.  If you are able to spare an hour over the lunch period, they would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please sign up at the following link:  The Well food services cleanup

Lunchtime Supervision: We are looking for volunteers for lunchtime supervision at the Pitt Meadows Campus from 11:50 am – 12:45 pm each day.  Orientation will be provided by Ms. Nast. Thank you so much for giving your time in this area! You can sign up at the following link:  P.M. Lunch Supervision

Baking:  Get a jump on your Christmas baking and earn some volunteer hours at the same time.  The Bethlehem Walk production, Dec. 17 & 18, requires 80 dozen pieces of assorted cookies and squares per evening as well as a few tins of hot chocolate!  Please sign up at the following link and keep your baking in your freezer until the afternoon of the performance: Bethlehem Walk Refreshments

Community Newsletter: Your online copy of November’s Hope Herald is here: November Vol. 1 Issue 3 – Hope Herald

Bethlehem Walk – Props Needed:

A number of props are necessary to enhance the various scenes presented in our Bethlehem Walk production.  The requested items are listed in the following link: Props Needed. Please sign in the appropriate spot for the item you are able to lend to the production and please confirm its suitability with the teacher in charge before leaving at the school.  All items must be clearly labeled if it is to be returned.

Advent Devotional Booklets Available – Free

The Advent season is here and complimentary Advent devotional booklets are available in both offices for each family. What better way to enhance your celebration and anticipation than to celebrate the season of Advent. This is a wonderful way to gather as a family each day, contemplate together the meaning of Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus.
