At the Port Coquitlam (K-5) campus this will be a staggered dismissal, similar to the 3:00 pm dismissal routine: Kindergarten dismissed at 11:45 am, Grade 1s at 11:50 am, Grade 2s at 11:55 am, Grade 3s-5s at 12:00 pm.

25th Anniversary Online Concert

Our 25th Anniversary Online Concert was a big hit!  If you missed it on Saturday, you can watch it on our Facebook page to find out what everyone’s been talking about.  Don’t forget that you can still make a donation to the school in Galim Cameroon for whom we were fundraising for during the concert.

Also, congratulations to the Leung family, one of our school families, for being the lucky winner of our online concert prize draw.

Welcome Back!!

We are so thrilled to have Mr. Jordan Mayer back at work today.  We praise God for a successful surgery and smooth recovery!!

Library Seeking Bookends

We recently removed some outdated titles from the library, and with the extra space, the books are falling over! Can you gift the library with some second-hand bookends? We’ll take big ones, small ones, decorative ones and plain ones. All bookends are appreciated!

Upcoming Dress Down Day

On Friday December 4, the PTL is hosting a special Holiday Themed Dress Down day affair.

Bring $2 and do away with your uniforms for the day.  Wear your most bright and festive Holiday attire to show the Spirit of Christmas.

All funds raised will be going towards PTL special events.

Attention Grade 4 & 5 Parents!

A Grade 5 Parent Celebration Committee is being set up! Parents of Grade 4’s are also strongly encouraged to consider joining this committee (at least 2 parents), as this will help in your own planning the following year for your child’s Grade 5 Celebration.

As a committee, we will mostly be thinking of ideas for fundraising and planning any gr. 5 celebrations for the end of the year. We will meet on Zoom and Mrs. Watson will be joining us as well to provide her support and wisdom.

Please contact Tina Goetz ([email protected]) ASAP if you would be interested in joining this committee. It is a blessing to plan with other parents! Thanks!

Hope Lutheran Junior Youth

Junior Youth is a ministry of Hope Lutheran Church for students in grades 5-8, connecting students with Jesus and one another.

Junior Youth is online this Saturday! Join our email list by clicking here, and receive up-to-date information and the unique Zoom link for this week!

Have questions? Please email Mrs. Stephanie Mayer ([email protected]).

Blessings!

Parent Teacher League (PTL) News

Parent Prayer

Start your week in community with others. Please consider setting aside 30 minutes of your time at the beginning of each week to join us in prayer for our school.

We will be meeting underneath the tents at the Port Coquitlam Campus by the main entrance.

Every Monday from 9:00 – 9:30 am (except for holidays).

Opportunity for Service

Calling All Bakers!   Would you like to contribute Christmas baking to our hampers? This would greatly enhance our food baskets and add that special personal touch that would be particularly welcome this holiday season.  Please email [email protected] to let us know if this is something you wish to do.  To maintain freshness and be COVID-friendly, please keep the baking in your freezer until closer to the hamper assembly date.  We will contact you about delivery.

Thank you to all families who donated towards the food hampers.  Families will be blessed this holiday season because of your generosity!

Volunteers needed:   3-4 people to help assemble the hampers this Friday, December 4, 9:00 am in the church sanctuary.  Please email the PTL if you are able to help: [email protected]

Community Relations

Submissions are open for the January newsletter.  Do you have an achievement to share or a service project you’ve engaged in?  How about a new year’s resolution challenge?

Please submit your stories, including any applicable photos, to Lisa Klym at [email protected].
