The upcoming Cambridge Uniform fitting day is a courtesy that is offered at the school for a limited number of fitting appointments. Families who were unable to get a booking are encouraged to contact Cambridge for their hours and fitting times at their North Vancouver location.

A gentle reminder that wearing Cambridge uniforms is a requirement and students are not to wear uniform items from other stores/companies.

Spring Music Concert Info

Spring music concert is coming up in the last week of May.  ‘B’ classes will perform on Wednesday, May 29, and the ‘A’ classes plus the 7 and 8 class perform on Thursday, May 30.  Concert for both nights starts at 7:00 pm, with a call time (arrival time) set for 6:45 pm. Students need to come in formal uniform for the performance. Parents and guests, bring your singing voice for a sing along at the end of the concert.

Track and Field

We have a few practices left for grade 4 & 5 Track and Field. Parent volunteers are still welcome to come and help on Wednesday, May 22 from 10:45 am – 12:00 pm and Monday, May 27 from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Students should dress for the weather (extra socks if it’s wet; hats if it’s sunny). Please contact Mrs. Olding with any questions or concerns ([email protected])

Most of our grade 4 & 5 students participated in an in-school track meet at Percy Perry Stadium on May 16. Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to make this event a success. The students competed in five different events and many experienced great success. We are hoping to make this an annual event.

NEW INFO:

Permission slips for both track meets are now overdue – if your child does not have their permission slip in, they will not be allowed to attend the meet this Thursday, and will not be placed in any events for May 28.

We are still in need of parent volunteers and a few parent drivers. If you can help at this meet, please email Mrs. Olding with your availability. We will need help at the ball throw station (measuring and recording distances of throws), we will need help supervising in the stands, and we need to supervise the bathroom area for 1 hour during the event.  We truly appreciate your support in making this event a success for our students.

After school violin classes for next year

We are accepting applications for group violin classes being offered after school for the 2019-2020 school year. We are hoping to run three classes after school from 3:10 – 4:10 pm based on age and level of experience.

The Monday class will be geared for beginner students in Kindergarten and Grade 1.  There are 8 spots in this class.

The Tuesday class will be geared for students in Grade 2-3 who have been playing for at least 1 year. There are only 2 spots available in that class.

The Thursday class will be geared for students in grades 3-5 who have been playing at least 2 years or more. There are only 4 spots available in that class.

Students who are older but are starting at the beginning level may want to sign up for private lessons throughout the summer so they can catch up with the students who have recently started.

Contact Ms. Allen ([email protected]) for more information or a registration form.

Hot Lunch – May 31

This coming May 31 is Hot Lunch Day. Please sign up below if you are able to volunteer. Also, if you haven’t done so please check out www.lunchlady.ca and place your orders.
