Draw and Paint Along with Judy

We are sorry to have to report that Judy/Mrs. O will not be able to do anymore art classes this school year. Please keep her in your prayers as she has not been healing as well or as quickly from surgery as she hoped. Thank you to all the HLCS artists who were able to participate. Your enthusiasm was amazing! Hopefully this is something we can do again in the future. We hope you keep drawing and painting! If you do artwork and would like Mrs. O to see what you created, take a picture of it and send it to Miss Nast ([email protected]) and she will forward it to Mrs. O.

Fitbits

The time has come to return borrowed Fitbits to the Port Coquitlam Campus. Please ensure you remove the battery and place all the pieces back in the box. Attach a note with your child’s name to ensure the school can accurately track whose items have been returned. Drop off can take place on Fridays from 1:00 – 3:00 pm during package pick-up or by making alternate arrangements with the office ([email protected]). Please contact Mrs. Olding if you have any questions or concerns ([email protected]).

Library Books Return

If there are any school library books in your home, bring them by the Port Coquitlam Campus office during the hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday.

PTL Meeting

Due to technical difficulties, our PTL General Meeting was postponed to Tuesday, June 9 at 7:00 pm.  The Zoom meeting details will be included in a separate Mailchimp.  Please watch for this message in your inboxes.

Help Wanted!

An exciting, dynamic and forward-thinking Committee is seeking someone (or a couple of people) with a keen sense of numbers and financial accuracy to manage their financial assets.  The successful candidate(s) will be capable of handling figures and cash; entrusted with the receipt, care and disbursements of the Committee’s funds.  They will serve as custodian of the funds, keeping careful records of all transactions.  They will also prepare monthly financial statements and be available to provide input for six General Committee Meetings during the school year, in-person or by way of notes conveyed to the President.  The role of Treasurer is a 2-year commitment and the majority of the role can be handled from home.  Also, this role can be shared between two people.  It is not a high-profile role where big decisions need to be made.  Rather, it is an advisory role on how the PTL best manages, distributes and controls their funds.

All volunteer hours for the year are fulfilled with this role.  Interested applicants please contact the Hope Lutheran PTL at [email protected].

Parent Prayer

Please join us for the last Parent Prayer of this school year, today – Monday, June 8, 7:00 – 7:30 pm. All parents welcome.
