January 10 Start Info

Please look for an email being sent out later this week with details on protocols that will be in place to support the safety of our students and staff, starting Monday, January 10.

Road Safety

We look forward to welcoming our school families back next week.  We do hope that you had a lovely break.  As a reminder, we’d like to share our expectations for drop off and pick up times. Be attentive to our crossing guards as they follow best practices to stay to the side of the road with the STOP sign extended for traffic to stop.  Please be aware that U-turns and/or stopping on the road to let out students out is not permitted and unsafe.  Instead, park your car in designated parking spots and then walk your child(ren) to the school parking lot. You may also choose to arrive earlier and drop off in our parking lot so you do not have to park or get out of the car.  This drop off is closed at 8:30 am.  Please allow yourself extra time and to follow the laws of the road.  We have a lot of littles to watch out for and we appreciate your time and attention at these critical times.

Open House

We’ve learned from our admissions interviews that an overwhelming majority of our applicants come to our school because of word-of-mouth recommendations from our school community.  We are thankful that you, our parents, are our best advertisers.

Do you know of a family ready to explore education options for their child?  Do you have friends or family looking for a school that offers more than just an academic education, one that you can call home?  Invite them to attend our virtual open house in January.

Parent Prayer

You are invited and welcome to join other parents and our school administration to pray (even if you’ve never prayed before!). Please consider setting aside 30 minutes of your time at the beginning of each week to join us for Parent Prayer as we pray for our school, families, and community.

We will be meeting outside at the elementary Campus by the main entrance.

Every Monday from 9:00 – 9:30 am (except for holidays).

Parent Teacher League (PTL) News

Our next PTL meeting is Thursday, January 13, at 7:00 pm over Zoom.  Connection details will be shared closer to the meeting date.

At the meeting, the November meeting minutes will need to be approved.  Please review the November minutes in preparation for our upcoming meeting.  Highlights from the minutes include:

  • Update on the Hope for the Future Visioning Process
  • PTL Financial Statements and fundraising initiatives
  • Upcoming volunteer opportunities

If you have any questions, please contact the PTL at [email protected].

Parent Volunteering

A reminder for parents to be sure to track your participation hours on the spreadsheet sent by your Class Liaison in September.  The sheets will close at the end of January and hours tallied.
