NO SCHOOL IN SESSION – Christmas Break Begins

Report Cards – Wednesday

Report cards will be going home on Wednesday, December 9, for our students attending on-site.  Please remember to return the envelope and green slip of paper (signed and dated) to your classroom teacher before Christmas break.

For those families with students that are learning off-site, you may pick up report cards from the school office (of your child’s respective campus) starting Thursday, December 10.  Parents will need to sign the green slip in their child’s envelope, when they pick up, acknowledging they have received the report card.  If you have any comments to share with the teacher, please communicate via email to them directly.

K-5 Christmas Concert Recording

Students will be recording music for the virtual Christmas concert this Friday, December 11.  Students will need to have their formal uniform as well as any recorders, music, guitar picks, and whatnot for the recording session.

Middle School Information Evening

We would like to invite all Elementary school parents to join us for a presentation about our Middle school.  We know that this is of particular interest for our 4th and 5th grade parents as their children prepare for Grade 6.  However, we also are aware that many new families and those in younger grades would like to know more about the Middle school program.  Therefore we are opening this presentation to all parents.  Please register your attendance to get a Zoom link to the presentation by Miss Nast and Mr. Lok.

Date: Tuesday, December 15, 2020

Time: 7:30-8:30PM

Registration for Zoom link:   https://forms.gle/2RyjpB4bZyNMWKBT8

Due to current restrictions, we are not able to take you on a physical tour of the campus.  Please stay tuned for a link to our Virtual 3D Tour where you can explore the campus with your children.

Parent Teacher League (PTL) News

Parent Prayer

Start your week in community with others. Please consider setting aside 30 minutes of your time at the beginning of each week to join us in prayer for our school.

We will be meeting underneath the tents at the Port Coquitlam Campus by the main entrance.

Every Monday from 9:00 – 9:30 am (except for holidays).

Staff Appreciation

Thank you to all those parents who have donated food items for staff appreciation.  The teachers are so very grateful for your thoughtfulness and really appreciate having such a variety of items available to them for when they need that afternoon boost.

If you are interested in donating items such as soups, chilli, individually packaged crackers and cookies, you may drop off donations at either campus office.

Contest Entry

In celebration of our 25th anniversary, we have entered a tiny tree into the PoCo Heritage Tree Contest.  All trees will be on display from December 1-13 in the Heritage Museum window at 2248 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, as well as posted on PoCo Heritage’s web page and social media platforms.  You may vote for your favourite tree at https://pocoheritage.org/christmas-tree-festival/ as well as engage in a scavenger hunt based on the items located on each tree entered.  The winner’s will be announced December 14.

Used Uniforms

Looking to buy or sell used uniform pieces?  Our used uniform buy & sell page is active.  If you have uniforms your child has outgrown that you wish to sell, please feel free to post images and prices here, remembering to remove posts when the pieces sell.
