Hope Lutheran Church Children’s Ministry: Movie Night

Hope Lutheran Church is hosting another family movie night featuring the movie called “The Star” – a lovely animated nativity movie. It will be shown in the Chapel on Wednesday, December 22, at 6:30 pm. This is a free movie night and we’d love you to join us!

We have a maximum occupancy of 50 people; so please register quickly before it fills up.

Popcorn and hot chocolate will be served at intermission. The movie itself is 1hr 25min plus the intermission.

You can sign up at this link: HLC Movie Night – The Star Sign-up

Click here for the Focus on the Family movie review of “The Star”.

Open House

We’ve learned from our admissions interviews that an overwhelming majority of our applicants come to our school because of word-of-mouth recommendations from our school community.  We are thankful that you, our parents, are our best advertisers.

Do you know of a family ready to explore education options for their child?  Do you have friends or family looking for a school that offers more than just an academic education, one that you can call home?  Invite them to attend our virtual or in-person open house in January.

Please pick up an open house postcard in the office or forward this digital information sheet and encourage them to check out The Hope Difference.

Schola Bohemia Christmas Break Camp

Schola Bohemia services will be offering an Arts & Crafts Christmas Break Camp 8:00 am – 6:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, December 20 – 23.  Cost is $180 per student.  To register contact Rita Langrova at 604-220-4250.

Parents Joining Us for Chapel

We are excited to open up our chapel times to our parents.  During our first service, 9:00 – 9:30 am (Grade 3-5), we have 10 spots available.  At our second service, 9:35 – 10:05 am (Grade K-2), we have 5 spots open.  Please note that on a week where a particular class is presenting, these spots will only be available for the class parents, so they may have the opportunity to watch their child.

Registering to attend either Chapel will only be accepted using the links below.

Links will close once the maximum number of registrants is reached.

Grade 3 – 5 Chapel (9:00 – 9:30 am)

Kindergarten – Grade 2 Chapel (9:35 – 10:05 am)

Parent Prayer

You are invited and welcome to join other parents and our school administration to pray (even if you’ve never prayed before!). Please consider setting aside 30 minutes of your time at the beginning of each week to join us for Parent Prayer as we pray for our school, families, and community.

We will be meeting outside at the elementary Campus by the main entrance.

Every Monday from 9:00 – 9:30 am (except for holidays).
