{"id":496,"date":"2014-08-10T23:07:13","date_gmt":"2014-08-10T23:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hopelcs.ca\/church\/?p=496"},"modified":"2014-09-18T23:07:48","modified_gmt":"2014-09-18T23:07:48","slug":"new-elementary-school-principal-appointed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hopelcs.ca\/church\/new-elementary-school-principal-appointed\/","title":{"rendered":"New Elementary School  Principal  Appointed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The School Board of Hope Lutheran Christian\u00a0School is delighted to announce the appointment of\u00a0Mrs. Susan Eisner as Principal of the elementary\u00a0school (Kindergarten to Grade 7), effective July 1,\u00a02014. Susan has felt God\u2019s call to her for this new\u00a0chapter in her life. It is truly a blessing to have a\u00a0woman with Susan\u2019s outstanding talents to lead our\u00a0school.<\/p>\n<p>After graduating from the University of Victoria with\u00a0a Bachelor of Education with Distinction in 1993,\u00a0Susan began working as a Teacher-on-Call in the\u00a0Greater Victoria school district. She was hired as a\u00a0Teacher and Developer by Redeemer Lutheran\u00a0Church, Langford, BC, in May 1998 to work on the\u00a0feasibility of opening a Lutheran school. In September\u00a01998, God led Susan to teach at First Lutheran\u00a0Christian School in Kelowna before moving to the\u00a0Lower Mainland in 2002 to begin teaching at Hope\u00a0Lutheran Christian School. She humbly received the\u00a0Excellence in Lutheran Education award in 2010\u00a0and has been honoured to serve as the President of\u00a0the Lutheran Teacher&#8217;s Association for the past\u00a0three years. Susan and Mike, her husband of 25\u00a0years, are blessed to be the parents of three grown\u00a0sons who all had the privilege of attending Lutheran\u00a0schools.<\/p>\n<p>As Susan transitions into her new role at Hope Lutheran,\u00a0Mr. Mike Schiemann has graciously agreed\u00a0to mentor and assist her over the summer before he\u00a0transitions into his new role as Principal of Forest\u00a0Hills Lutheran School in Cornelius, Oregon.
