On Friday, April 25 I had the privilege of helping lead, and participating in the World Vision 30 Hour Famine with the youth here at Hope. 13 youth were brave enough to stomach this event, and together the group raised $1005 to help fight hunger in communities across the globe. During the event we tried to take our minds off of our grumbling stomachs by playing outside, running\/hiding around the church (Sardines) and playing gym games (mainly dodge ball). When we were too exhausted to run around we relaxed while watching movies. During our devo-tions we took time to reflect on our grumbling stom-achs and how we can make a difference in the world, not only during service events such as this one, but every day. Interspersed throughout the evening and day (about once every hour) were our “Juice Parties”, where we would sit around drinking juice and playing “Would You Rather”. A big thank you to all the youth, volunteers, and supporters of this\u00a0event. Looking forward to next year’s 30 Hour Famine!<\/p>\n
