Parent Teacher League (PTL) News
Our first PTL meeting was held on Friday, September 8, 9:00 am at the Port Coquitlam campus. Please see the following link with the minutes from that meeting:
SEPTEMBER 8 PTL MEETING MINUTES
Classroom liaisons are needed for Grades 7/8, and 9-12. Classroom liaisons communicate on behalf of the PTL and your teacher with your child’s class. This position is primarily email based with approximately 1-2 hours a month required. If you are interested in volunteering to assist your child’s teacher, please sign up at the link below:

Student Pick Up
For safety and emergency purposes, students who are staying after 3:30 pm waiting to be picked up must sign out at the office when they leave.
Terry Fox Run
The Pitt Meadows Campus will be having its own Terry Fox Run on Wednesday September 27 at 2:15 pm in Pitt Meadows. There will be a Dress Down Day on Friday September 22. Students can bring $2.00 for the for the Dress Down Day to be donated to the Terry Fox Run.
Students Uniforms
Please be reminded that for the 2017-2018 school year, all students who are entering Grades 6 through 12 will be required to wear the middle/high school uniform.
There will not be a grandfathering over period from the elementary uniform. The key differences between the middle/high school uniform and the elementary uniform are as follows:
- grey pants (boys and girls)
- short or long sleeve dress shirt (boys)
- short or long sleeve out blouse or a ladies blouse (girls)
- grey socks (boys)
Please note that the golf shirt/polo shirt is no longer part of the uniform for Grades 6-8.
The school has a number used Oxford dress shirts available to students for free. Please see the office if you would like one. They will be given to students on a first come first serve basis.

This week the menu is a hamburger or cheeseburger with chips, veggies and a drink.
Hamburger combo- $5.00
Cheeseburger combo – $5.50
Extra burger- $3.00
Extra cheeseburger- $3.50
Parent Prayer
A parent from the Port Coquitlam campus has organized a once a month prayer time for parents/family members of Hope Lutheran Christian School:
Please join us to pray monthly from 8:55 – 9:25 am for our children, our families, the Staff and Teachers at Hope and our Community of Port Coquitlam.
