Parent Volunteers Needed for Badminton Tournament – April 13

Hope Lutheran is part of the Christian Elementary School Sports (C.E.S.S.) association and is required to host a tournament for other schools during the year.  This year our school will be hosting a badminton tournament on Thursday, April 13.  As host of the tournament our students will NOT be playing in the tournament.
We need 5 parent volunteers who are available to help on the day of the tournament from 8:50 am to 2:45 pm.  The tournament is held at Shuttlesport near Fremont Village in Port Coquitlam.  No experience with badminton required.  Parent Volunteer Hours are available for this event.  Please email jlok@hopelcs.ca if you would like to help.

Maternity Leaves

We are thankful to God for healthy pregnancies. Mrs. Chifan and Mrs. Hussey from our Port Coquitlam Campus, and Mrs. Paul from our Pitt Meadows campus all have due dates in the near future. Maternity leave teachers have been hired to teach their classes the remainder of the year.
In Grade 3B, Mr. Brodan Thiel will join the class on April 24.
In Grade 1B, Ms. Katie Liu will join our staff on May 8.
At the Pitt Meadows campus, Mr. Neal De Geus joined our high school staff teaching math, yearbook, career education, and Christian Studies.
We pray God’ s blessings on Mrs. Chifan, Mrs. Hussey and Mrs. Paul as they take on the role of motherhood and are joy-filled with the provision of faithful, qualified Christian teachers to continue teaching the students in their care.

After School Workout Club Mondays

Youth Unlimited will be participating with us. ALL staff and Hope students in grades 7-12 are welcome to come and get their sweat on

  1. We are seeking help in building the raised beds needed to start the gardens. Donations of lumber 2 x 4 would be greatly appreciated so that we can start to plan the garden beds.
  2. Our field is growing grass! We need a riding lawn mower. If you know of a good source are willing to donate funds for this please talk to Mr. Mathew or Mr. John Lok – Development Director.
