PTL News
Christmas Plant Sale
The PTL is selling beautiful, locally-grown plants to help raise money to directly benefit our students. Our plant sale will run from now until November 27. All orders are placed online at HLCS Plant Sale. By purchasing a beautiful arrangement, not only will you be spreading holiday cheer, but you will also be supporting our Hope students. Placing your order and paying online reduces the risk of COVID exposure while still supporting our PTL fundraising efforts.
All orders must be placed by November 27th. Product delivery and pick up will take place the week of December 14th. Pick up details will be communicated closer to the delivery date.
Please direct any questions to Diana at cuonganddiana@shaw.ca
Thank you for your support, we couldn’t do it without you!
Opportunity for Service
This year, opportunities for us to serve others are limited but, as a member of Hope’s community, you can still make a difference in the life of deserving families in the Tri-Cities.
Our annual Christmas food drive is starting today. We encourage families to support this initiative that will benefit others who are struggling this season.
If you have a recommendation for a family to receive a hamper, please send Mr. Lok a short description of why you are recommending them and their contact details. (jlok@hopelcs.ca)
- Please sign up on the donation form link that was sent by your Class Liaison. In an effort to avoid duplication of items, the items are specific to each class. For example, Kindergarten to bring listed breakfast items, Grade 1 to bring listed personal items, and so on. (This way, we don’t end up with multiples of the same item).
- Christmas wrapped collection boxes have been placed in each classroom for Kindergarten through Grade 8.
- Donations will be collected for 2 weeks – Monday, November 16 until Monday, November 30.
- Donations of cash & gift cards can be taken to the school office for safekeeping.
- Contributions are voluntary.
- For health and safety reasons please ensure all donated items are new and unwrapped. (If food item, please ensure it is not past expiry date).
Thank you for your help & support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Gemma Hooper at rghooper@hotmail.com.
Community Relations
Submissions are open for the December and January newsletters. Do you have an achievement to share? How about a new year’s resolution challenge?

The Card Project

The cover letter included with each child’s card explains how to order.
The Final Order deadline is November 22 (for delivery in the week of December 7-11)
