Fall Km Club & Cross Country
The Fall Km Club is a wrap! The Lord was gracious to us weather-wise and we only had one rain-out day. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make it another successful, and fun, run club – we could not have done it without you.
The top runners from each grade were:
- Alex, KA – 37.5 km
- Samuel, KB – 42 km
- Carter, 1A – 67.5 km
- Terrence, 1B – 43 km
- Nathan, 2A – 56 km
- Ryan, 2B – 61 km
- Arjun, 3A – 67 km (and right behind was Lucas with 66.5 km)
- Winston, 3B – 67 km
- Garrett, 4A – 79 km (and right behind him was Aja with 70.5 km and Xavier with 66 km)
- Brody, 4B – 73 km (with Sarah running an outstanding 66.5 km)
- Bianca, 5A – 71.5 km
- Jonathan, 5B – 83 km (an impressive 2nd goes to Maxim with 68.5 km)
Due to the training the runners received through Km Club, our school placed 3rd in the recent district cross-country competition with numerous top ten finishers in in grade 4 and 5 as well a first place run by Sarah in grade 4B. Congratulations, runners, on a job well done! As you can see from the stats above, we have some very strong contenders for next year’s cross-country event. Let’s keep the momentum going.
Those of you interested in helping with the Spring Km Club, please email Lisa Klym at lisaklym@telus.net so your name can be on file. Organizing starts in February. Our Spring club will begin the first day after spring break.
