Terry Fox Run

Thank you to all who participated in the Terry Fox Run. We raised $2,955 for the Terry Fox Foundation! This was not the amount we had set as a goal, which means we will not be duct taping Mr Lok to the wall, but the contributions are much appreciated by the Terry Fox Foundation. The class with the most participants was Mr Mayers class! He will be treating his students to a movie and some popcorn in the near future.

Message from Mr. Lok: As relieved as I am from having escaped the terrible fate of being duct-taped to a wall, I am somewhat disappointed that we didn’t meet our target amount nor match last years amount raised for Terry Fox.  This is why I’m putting myself at risk again and will be extending this same challenge to our Spellathon event coming next Spring. Stay tuned.

Parents in Prayer

For the coming school year, a parent from the Port Coquitlam campus has organized a once a month prayer time for parents/family members of Hope Lutheran Christian School.

Please join us on the first Tuesday of each month for Parent Prayer. We will meet from 8:55 – 9:30 am and pray for our children, our families, the Staff and Teachers at Hope and our Community of Port Coquitlam. We will share and learn from one another, be inspired by Bible readings on prayer and of course – we will pray together! Email Tina Goetz for more info: mylifeforhis@shaw.ca

Location: Please meet in the Narthex/Foyer of the Port Coquitlam Campus at 8:55 am on Tuesday, November 6.

The dates for the rest of the school year are: December 4, January 8, February 5, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4
