Hearts for Hope – Capital Campaign
We are excited to launch our first ever annual capital giving campaign!
Coinciding with the Asian New Year and the celebration of Valentine’s Day, “Hearts for Hope” will run for the entire month of February. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 for the purchase of our own school bus – a suitable bus owned and operated by Hope Lutheran School to service both campuses! This goal will enable us to also have funds set aside to get us up and running with operational and maintenance costs. Tax deductible donations can be made online from February 1 through to February 29 using the Donate button in the upper right corner of our website (hopelcs.ca/school), choosing the “Hearts for Hope” Fund. Each family who donates will be recognized with their name written on a heart and posted in the foyer of each campus.
As part of the fundraising celebrations, a Hope Community and Cultural Awareness evening is taking place on Saturday, February 8, 6:00 pm at the Port Coquitlam Campus. This fun and festive evening is open to all Hope staff, school and church families. A range of food items representative of the Asian New Year will be available for sampling and a very special guest speaker has been invited.
Ticket prices are $20 for each adult and $10 for each child. These tickets will give you access to a pre-determined amount of food. If you child has an adult-sized appetite, please consider purchasing an adult ticket for them. Please indicate your attendance in the following link by January 22 so we can adequately prepare: Hearts for Hope Community Event Tickets will be available for pick up starting January 27.
Parent Volunteer Hours
REMINDER TO ALL PARENTS: Please remember to record your Parent Volunteer Hours as you complete them on your youngest child’s spreadsheet. Term 1 ends on January 31 and after that date, the sheets will be closed.
Please ensure you record any eligible hours prior to January 31 or they will not be counted.
