Welcome to Hope Lutheran Christian School (HLCS)!
Thank you for visiting our website. Even though we have lots of information here, we know that when you come visit and experience the school in person, you will discover what HLCS is really all about.
You will find that we are a Christ-centered community working together to make school an experience that has an eternal impact. We stand firm on Biblical teachings and principles, and model both law and gospel for students. Rooted in everything we do is our deep desire for children to know God and know they are valued and loved.
You will also sense the strong relationships that the school has with the home and the value we place on parents as our partners. We believe learning is not just about what happens in the classroom but also about the experiences that come from families and teachers being connected and supportive of each other.
Lastly, you will notice our students are well-engaged, confident, articulate and academically strong. We challenge students to reach beyond their potential. We take the time to assess where students are in their learning journey and use every resource at our disposal to make learning meaningful and fun for them.
We invite you to explore our elementary and middle school campuses in Port Coquitlam. We look forward to meeting you soon.
In Christ’s service,
Jennifer Watson (Interim principal)
Andrew Shutsa (Middle School Vice-principal)
